1st time here, beautiful modern decor, byob. I had the chicken Milanese, best I have had in years, penne vodka was great, desserts were excellent, I had the espresso shot with vanilla sorbet. Highly recommend 😺
We just recently had our Son’s Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at Janina Bistro on their Patio and EVERYTHING from the setup, the beautiful patio landscape, the incredible food and the wonderful Waitstaff was truly OUTSTANDING!!! I cannot say enough how absolutely thrilled we were that the Manager, Ari, who was in charge of setting up this Rehearsal Dinner for 66 people, came through in a better than expected way! Everyone raved about the Peppercorn Chicken, the Salmon and the Veal. Of course, the Penne Pasta w/Vodka Sauce that you are served at the beginning was also delicious! I highly recommend this Fabulous Gem of a Restaurant in Lebanon, NJ whether it be for your private dining pleasure or for planning a large event because this Restaurant will meet any of your needs. Thank You again to Ari, Jim and the entire staff at Janina Bistro for making our Rehearsal Dinner a beautiful night to remember!!
This is one of Hunterdon County's hidden gems. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very welcoming. No liquor license but you can BYOB or go next door to Bourban Street. If you haven't tried Janina's Bistro, you are truly missing a wonderful dining experience.
Living all over the world the past twenty years I can say with certainty this restaurant is a hidden gem!! BEST Chicken Marsala (pic attached) I have ever had! It’s a must go! Ari and Jim are exceptional and treat you like family!
Beautiful interior. Very attentive staff. Chicken Milanese some of the best I’ve had-hubby loved his short ribs. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had also!
Great intimate bistro, with great food and absolutely the BEST service of any restaurant! It's BYOB but there is a liquor store right next door. In nice weather a nice outdoor patio to dine in. Desserts, especially the tiramisu, are delicious. Highly recommend!

can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had hosting our daughter’s engagement party at Janina’s Bistro. To be honest, we took a risk booking a place we hadn't personally dined at, but the Google reviews were spot on. Tom and his staff were fantastic hosts for our group of 40. Every guest was raving about the food and the hospitality. Janina’s attention to detail really made us feel like we made the perfect choice for such a special milestone. They have certainly gained new regulars, as we’ve already returned for dinner since! After visiting and reviewing many restaurants, Janina’s has earned a spot in our top ten. If you’re looking for a great BYOB with heart, this is it.
Had my daughter’s bridal shower at Janina’s Bistro and it was absolutely beautiful. The food and service were amazing, and the space was perfect for our group of 36. Tom and Ari were so accommodating and wonderful to work with. I had a vision—from a balloon arch to banners and a spritz bar—and they let me bring it all to life without hesitation.
